and his young son Chris joined him. They settled in
the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York,
eventually operating a boarding house at
15 Saint Mark's Avenue.
In 1921, they had a daughter Mary, followed by
a son Matias (Mac) in 1926.
In 1929, they had a daughter, Encarna (Nancy),
followed by another Gloria in 1931.
